For the past 24 years, Jim has been working to deliver great value to his clients as their Financial Advisor, helping them plan ahead for their short-term needs as well as work to achieve their long-term financial goals.  He has been a member at Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network since 2009.  With his strong attention to detail, Jim is dedicated to solving problems, finding strategies, and making complicated financial issues clear for his clients. Jim was born and raised in Sharpsburg, Georgia, where he lives with his wife Ali and their three daughters, Autumn, Annsly and Ashlyn, and their four dogs.  He graduated from The University of Georgia, where he received both his Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Agricultural Economics, with a concentration in Finance, and was a proud member of the Redcoat Marching Band.  Jim enjoys spending time with his family, fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, Georgia Football and being outdoors.  He is also an active member of his church, and serves as President on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Senoia, Georgia.

Jay believes in a disciplined process – focusing on the steps to success, not the end goal – which is designed to ultimately deliver success. He focuses on understanding clients’ goals, dreams, and aspirations, and aligning our approach together as we prepare to help clients succeed financially.

Jay digs deep with clients to learn about how he can grow and protect their assets, helping to ensure that the path taken is prudent every step of the way. He is passionate about helping others and enjoys knowing clients are prepared for those unexpected financial events that can happen in their lives. With more than 25 years in the financial services industry, Jay has dedicated his career to simply helping clients make complex decisions that are best for their situation. He is married to his lovely wife Wynn, and they reside in Newnan. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis (state champion in high school), golf, running, exercising his 105-pound Great Pyrenees, Belle, and most importantly, raising five wonderful children: Jack, Whit, Anna, Katie and Ruthie. Jay serves as Chair on the Fayette County Accountability Courts Board of Advisors, and as a member of the Finance Committee at Newnan Presbyterian Church.

Steve brings a wealth of knowledge in the financial sector, with over six years of experience in the mortgage industry. During that time, he owned and operated a mortgage company licensed in 11 states, leading a high‑performing team that successfully closed more than 5,500 loans. Steve personally funded over $100 million in loan volume and ranked among the top 1% of loan officers in the United States. His success was built on disciplined leadership, strong client relationships, and a commitment to guiding individuals and families through complex financial decisions.

Motivated by a desire to serve clients over the long term, Steve transitioned into wealth management to support more comprehensive financial strategies beyond lending. He is passionate about helping clients align multiple aspects of their financial lives and working alongside advisors to support solutions designed to evolve with clients’ goals over time.

In addition to his financial industry experience, Steve is a decorated United States Navy Officer with 19 years of service as a Naval Aviator. His military awards include multiple Air Medals, Combat Reconnaissance Crew Awards, and recognition as a Secretary of the Navy Innovation Catalyst Runner‑Up. Steve served honorably in Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Unified Protector, and other campaigns. His military career instilled a strong foundation of leadership, integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.  Qualities he brings to his role every day in service of clients and the advisory team.

Steve holds degrees and professional certificates from the University of Memphis and the U.S. Naval War College.

Steve has been married to his wife, Jenny, for 16 years, and together they have three boys who keep him busy when he isn’t working. As a family, they enjoy staying active through golf, mountain biking, lacrosse, and running.

That’s not financial advising, that’s a transaction and it’s a problem Austin knows all too well, and the reason he got into this business.

Born and raised in Carrollton, Georgia, Austin joined the U.S. Navy after high school, where the Navy took him to Nevada, and introduced him to his wife. After the Navy, Austin returned to Nevada to be with his wife, Cora, working as a Navy contractor while earning his degree in Finance from Penn State. After graduating, he found his calling as a financial advisor. However, a few years later, the pull of home won out, and Austin made his way back to Georgia, settling in Peachtree City to be closer to family and to serve a community that feels like his own.

To best serve the people he works with, Austin holds Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations, along with Insurance licensing, the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation, creating a well-rounded foundation built around the real planning needs of business owners, pre-retirees, and retirees. Because for Austin, learning never stops, it’s an ongoing commitment to showing up better for the people who trust him.

Kim brings a wealth of knowledge and client service experience to Hunter Wealth Management.  She was a legal secretary for over 15 years, working extensively in the areas of trusts and estates, tax and family law at various law firms in Virginia, Massachusetts and Georgia. After moving to Georgia in 2006, Kim worked as a kindergarten paraprofessional at Welch Elementary in Coweta County while her children were in elementary school.

Kim received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount St. Mary’s College in English with minors in both Business and History. Kim’s responsibilities at Hunter Wealth Management include handling phone calls and working to provide the highest-level client support. In addition to her role as Senior Client Associate, Kim is excited to be the liaison for Hunter Wealth Management at local community business organizations in developing new and strengthening existing relationships throughout the community.

In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family, reading and going for walks.

As Hunter Wealth Management’s Marketing Consultant, Jessica brings several years of media relations, public relations and community outreach experience to the company. Her main role is to develop and implement the practice’s brand strategy. Additionally, she is responsible for creating and coordinating company events and client seminars, and spearheads community outreach by working with local and regional media outlets.

Prior to her role as Marketing Consultant at Hunter Wealth Management, Jessica owned a public relations and marketing company in Atlanta. She provided full-service marketing for her clients, including social media platform maintenance, client event coordination, website creation and design, and search engine optimization. She has also worked in agency public relations and as a writer and editor for local Atlanta newspapers and magazines. Upon graduating from the prestigious Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia in 2004, Jessica began her career as a Public Relations and Events Intern at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation.

Jessica is proud to support the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Atlanta Humane Society and the Ronald McDonald House. She is a member of the UGA Alumni Association and she and her husband, Scott, and son, Will, enjoy cheering on the Dawgs every fall. Jessica also enjoys exercising, yoga, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Tracie McGaughey (Mu-Gay-he) brings over 20 years of experience in public health, administration, and client service to her role at Hunter Wealth Management. With a strong background in strategic planning, organizational development, and relationship building, Tracie is dedicated to delivering exceptional support and fostering meaningful connections with clients.

Before joining Hunter Wealth Management, Tracie held various leadership roles, including Deputy Management Officer at the CDC's Office of Health Equity, where she streamlined operations, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and led high-performing teams. During her career at the CDC, Tracie worked in the Emergency Operations Center, where she was instrumental in developing protocols and managing critical emergency operational administrative activities. She also had the privilege of working alongside three CDC directors and collaborating with world leaders on critical public health initiatives. Her expertise in financial management, compliance, and innovative problem-solving has been recognized with numerous awards, including the HHS Secretary’s Award for Distinguished Service.*

Tracie holds diplomas in Business Office Technology and Accounting from Lanier Technical College, where she graduated with honors. In her role as Client Associate, Tracie is excited to leverage her skills to provide top-tier client support and contribute to the growth of Hunter Wealth Management.

Outside of work, Tracie is passionate about giving back to her community through hospice volunteering. She also enjoys mentoring others, exploring creative solutions, and spending quality time with family & friends.

Elana brings more than 10 years of experience in financial advisory and wealth management environments, with a strong emphasis on client service excellence. She is dedicated to help ensure every client interaction is efficient, professional, and positive, supporting long-term relationships built on trust and responsiveness. Her background reflects a deep understanding of client needs, operational support, and relationship management, making her a valued resource for both clients and advisors alike.

Elana truly enjoys getting to know each client and understanding their individual needs. From account maintenance and administrative support to client communications and service requests, Elana takes the time to make sure the client feels at ease, knowing they are in good hands.

Elana received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lagrange College in Vocal Performance with a focus on Opera. She now lives in Newnan, GA with her husband, Justin and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Outside of the office, Elana enjoys singing for weddings, funerals, and corporate events. She also loves hosting events for family and friends and cuddling on the couch with her husband and dog after a long day.

Lin has been in the financial services industry for over 40 years.  He is a graduate of Emory University, the University of Georgia School of Law, and the Stoner Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University. He also has a number of years of experience in the Trust and Investments area of the banking industry. Although not currently practicing law, he is an active member of the Georgia Bar Association.

Lin began his career as a Financial Advisor in 1998 and joined A.G. Edwards & Sons, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors. Lin joined Hunter Wealth Management in 2020 in the Griffin, Georgia, location. He has been a dedicated student of investments most of his adult life and prides himself on working to provide sound financial advice with excellent customer service. He is excited to bring his experience and commitment to help client work to achieve their financial goals at Hunter Wealth Management.

Born and raised in Griffin, Georgia, Sandy brings extensive experience and dedication to her role as Client Service Associate at Hunter Wealth Management. She studied at Gordon State College and Southern Crescent Technical College, focusing on Business Office Technology and building a strong foundation in client relations and operations. For the past five years, Sandy has worked in the financial services industry, primarily within the mortgage department, where she earned a reputation for responsiveness and client-focused service.

Before entering the financial sector, Sandy retired from the State of Georgia after 30 years of service in various divisions, including roles as Administrative Operations Coordinator and Employee Relations Coordinator. During her tenure, she specialized in business process improvement and served as a Regional Trainer for the Red Cross, preparing Family and Children Services staff to establish shelters during declared disasters. A graduate of both the Griffin-Spalding County Leadership Program and the Georgia County Welfare Leadership Program, Sandy is deeply committed to leadership and community engagement. She also served with the Pike County Baseball Association for seven years, reflecting her passion for supporting local families.

At Hunter Wealth Management, Sandy is excited to leverage her diverse background in customer relations to assist clients with their questions and needs. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, camping, boating, and even DJing alongside her husband, Joey. Sandy is the proud mother of three sons—Zach, Clay, and JD—who inspire her dedication to both family and community.

Malon Wickham founded Wickham Capital Management to offer his clients truly honest and objective financial guidance. He and his team focus on creating a comfortable, trustworthy atmosphere to build long-term relationships with every client. As a PIM®  Portfolio Manager, Malon specializes in managing equity income portfolios that he tailors specifically to each client to help them achieve their financial goals, whether that is funding a child’s education, saving enough for retirement, or building a nest egg.

Malon has more than 39 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before he launched Wickham Capital in the fall of 2020, he worked for several well-respected financial institutions, including Wells Fargo Advisors, Morgan Keegan, J.C. Bradford & Co., and Merrill Lynch. Outside the office, Malon is very involved in the local community. He currently serves on the Boards of Columbus Technical College Foundation and Pine Mountain Association. Cindy Lawrimore serves as Senior Registered Account Administrator for Wickham Capital. She specializes in creating a superior service experience for our clients. Cindy works closely with Malon Wickham, Managing Director, to assist in the development of customized investment plans in an effort to help our clients achieve their financial goals. Before joining Wickham Capital, Cindy worked for two other well-respected investment firms, Wells Fargo Advisors and Merrill Lynch. Cindy received her B.S. from Clemson University and her MBA from Columbus State University.

For over 30 years, Judy Whitley has been working with Malon Wickham as his Senior Administrative Assistant. She focuses on account management, documentation, administrative duties, and client service. Judy enjoys working collaboratively with Malon and Cindy to build trusting and multigenerational relationships with our clients.

 Prior to joining Wickham Capital in November 2021, Jerry worked for several financial institutions including Synovus Bank and Truist Bank, where he most recently served as the Columbus Market President and Commercial Lender.  His background in banking taught him that earning the trust of your clients is the most important thing towards developing long-term relationships.  Jerry works with Malon Wickham, Managing Director, to provide custom made solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals. 

Outside of the office, Jerry is very involved in the community.  Currently he serves as Treasurer for the Uptown Columbus Business Improvement District, on the Open Door Community House Inc. Board and has served on several United Way Campaigns.  In his free time, Jerry enjoys playing golf and spending time with his two girls.
